For this project I was challenged to create an event along with all of the event deliverables around a song. The song I chose was New Bohemia by Transviolet because it spoke a lot about living in the moment, being young again, and trying to leave an impact on the world. New Bohemia is a Creative Camp held at the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center in Maui Hawaii that not only raises funds for the non-profit Arts Center but it is where advertising agencies can send their designers, copywriters, and storytellers to boost creativity which leads to fresh ideas. The camp allows the employees to participate in art workshops that Hui No’eau offers to those in their community. Everyone is able to learn a new skill or add to their previous knowledge all while supporting the arts. Part of the fee that is paid by the advertising agency for their employees to go is given to the Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center so they cancontinue giving free art classes to members of their community. The deliverables created for the event include logo and brand elements, a poster advertising the events, an invitation to the event, and an event kit for participants which includes an event schedule, name tag, and other event-based gifts. Adobe softwares that were used include: Illustrator Photoshop, and Lightroom.
